The hotel restaurant La Macchia, in Spoleto, is an oasis of peace and tranquility located just 2 km from the city center.
Guests can enjoy the silence of the place, surrounded by elk woods and olive groves, walking or relaxing by the pool, disturbed only by the chirping of birds or the braying of our donkeys.
The hotel has 11 rooms (10 standard + 1 suite) all different from each other but all furnished with the same care.
Parquet floors, old wrought-iron beds, furniture from local antique markets expertly alternated with more modern furniture, comfortable mattresses, individually controlled air conditioning, mini bar and wifi.
The breakfast room is located on the veranda in front of the hotel and has a special charm due to its original furnishings and view of the pool and olive grove.
Inside, hearty breakfasts with a rich menu of both sweet and savory are served until late.
In the hotel’s restaurant, you can spoil your palate with delicious specialties made with wild asparagus, truffles and mushrooms. Among the restaurant’s top dishes you cannot miss lamb a scottadito, handmade strangozzi, bruschetta topped with oil from the surrounding hills and the very tasty pizza cooked strictly in a wood-fired oven.
The structure of the restaurant consists of two rooms: one dedicated to the organization of banquets and receptions and one, called “Osteria del Trenino,” furnished with wooden seats salvaged from the same disused carriages that were once an integral part of the former Spoleto-Norcia Railway.
